UGANDA, AFRICA.
We will be partnering with Kids Around the World to install a playground at the orphanage which houses over 200 orphans. A cargo container will be shipped from a local port on February 15, 2012, carrying the playground equipment as well as 25,000 meal packets that our church packed in November. When we arrive in July, we will be assembling the playground as well as distributing the meal packets to the community of Masaka.
Micah 6:8 “He has told you,
O man, what is good; and what does the LORD
require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?”
As Parents we feel that this is a great opportunity to expose our kids to a culture & setting they’ve never seen. But deeper than that we believe this journey together will be a significant stepping stone in our kids faith at an early age. We want them so see how God is moving in the world. So after praying about it and talking with the boys we are going on this adventure together as a family.
1 Thessalonians 2:8 “Because we loved you so much,
we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well”
So for the few of you who read my blog I am asking for you to pray with us. We ask that you pray for us and the other team members that God’s hand will be in all we do, pray for the people of Uganda that their hearts will be open and that they will be willing to receive God's love and pray that we will be able to share God’s grace in every way possible.
Will you be praying with us as we get ready for this adventure and while we are on it as well. If God leads you to give and help us financially click here and designate your donation to "Uganda 2012 ‐ (first and last name of person you are supporting and/or general ALL TEAM gift) or you can contact me for an address to send a check. The cost is $3,000 per person so as a family we are needing to raise $12,000, any help that you can make is greatly appreciated.
We are looking forward to what God is going to do in and through us as we faithfully step out as a family on this adventure!
