I know i recently posted about enjoying moments in your life but i have another one to share.
Tonight we were able to reconnect with some old friends from college. Alan and Barbie. Two great youth workers who are good friends and always will be.
We also were able to here Steve Fitzhugh share about living a life worth a mission because of the intricate work God did to bring you to where you are at in life. [not to mention he played for the Broncos in the 80's].
We also saw something that broke me into tears. We saw about 100 missionaries in our conference and when the students were applauding the missionaries as a thanks for thier service many of them ran forward to hug them and thank them personally. It really was beautiful!
The other beautiful thing was seeing 7500+ students raise 114,505.16 to send to Africa for social and spiritual work in the country through missionaries and schools serving there. 114,505.16!!!! that is no small amount. The other cool thing was to see students give up ipods, shooes, clothes, rings, necklaces. Youth leaders giving up wedding rings, clothes, bibles. ALl of this to be sold or given away for those that need it.
This moment was HOLY and it gave me a glimpse of "thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven".
This is why I LOVE YOUTH MINISTRY! Seeing students change the world!
