Learnings in Life

"The Process is Important"

I have been enjoying this quote for a while now. It was given to me by an incredibly smart business man, who is a loving husband & father. He has a great sense of humor and happens to be one of our adult leaders in our student ministry.

This has been something i have allowed to permeate me because it is evident in much of life right now. In our relationship with Christ the process of becoming Christ-like is important. Life experiences, conversations, different scriptures, people and everything else in life is important to where God is wanting to take you.

For the life of a student, the process of change is critical. They have so much in their life that can shape them. The process for them is identifying what they really want to matter and be a part of their life.

As a father, the process of learning is crucial to the shaping of a child. I have to learn what is working & isn't as a dad. I need to be able to love my kids the way they NEED loved, not how i need to love them. The boundaries i set is a process because it can change with experiences and situations.

As a husband the process of growing in our marriage is the only way intimacy grows. The process of knowing each other, growing, changing, adjusting to the needs and desires of each other will allow us to continue to know each other. The daily change we encounter allows us to continue to fall in love with each other.

The process God has endured is important. It shows us the deep love, patience and high standards he has for us. Will we let the process be important enough so change in us occurs to step into the life God is offering us?
