Great Family Day

So we started off the day relaxing quite a bit. We then packed up some food & went to a BBQ with some family in Fullerton. While there a wonderful conversation started about the NHL hockey game that night. Since the NHL has this lovely contract with some unheard of channel called VERSUS you can't get unless you have the premier satellite package (which costs more than a tank of gas right now). It so happened that the house we are staying at does have the premier package and we finished lunch then drove back to Lake Forest and watched the game while all the kids played in the hot tub, the pool was incredibly cold!

Now the greatest part of this day was there was no schedule, plan or anything else. We just relaxed, hung out as a family and enjoyed ourselves & the company of others. These type of days remind me of how much a full day off is needed & enjoyable. We are pretty good as a family keeping a sacred day during the week just to ourselves & when these holiday days come they are just and added bonus.

So if you don't have a day dedicated to family & enjoying life together YOU NEED ONE!
