I have been contemplating a lot lately and i know the blog does not reflect that so here is everything now.
In life there seems to be a lot that revolves around our perception. I have heard many phrases lately that has brought this to my attention. "The world is so ugly", "we have to scrounge by" (in a 2000 sq ft home in South OC), "my life is boring" all of these messages and more are a perception.
So is a perception on life a sin if it does not line up with God's standard?
I think yes. If we look at life through our lens, and we don't see life the way God does then we are missing the mark (definition of sin). I really struggle with hearing people who are followers of Christ, always communicate about their lives, feelings, ideas, outside of God's message.
Now don't get me wrong there are days where i don't 'feel' like reviewing and rethinking the way i should, but for me to truly live my life in reflection of God's design for me that is a spiritual discipline i must work towards.
So if we are to always percieve life through the median of God's message how do we develop that as a discipline?
This is where i am at. I can hear people talk all day long and agree or disagree with them based on how i see God's interaction for our lives. But is i read the scriptures and what i process always in line with God's?
It can become a circular discussion or even argument- but how do we keep it from going that way?
All of this and more i have been processing and working through. Reading Philippians has helped and i think Paul speaks a lot about submitting to the Christ view point on life.
