Do to the number of emails & phone calls i have received concerning the absent blog updates i shall fill everyone in at once...
Over the past 3 weeks life for my family & I has been horrendously busy. Our church has decided to reduce the salary of each full time staff as well as release our part-time support staff. This has created a 20+% cut in pay for us. So i am now working a overnight job at Sam's Club doing receiving & delivery restocking. My day starts around 730am & ends at 315am the following morning. Having only 4 hrs of sleep a night is taking its toll on my so we have had to restructure our lives & time priorities. So blogging & other Internet related material has taken a back seat.
In spite of the hard times it has been very humbling to see God still be God and be the only sufficient need in my life. I love my wife, kids & ministry but all of that is pointless without my relationship with the divine.
Youth Ministry related any free time i have had has been trying to connect with like minded youth workers to build as much of a community as possible for the PDYM community. It has been great to see many faces of youth ministry here in Kern County desire to team together for the sake of sharing life.
In our student ministry we are embarking now on a 5 week series on how we all can have a transformation in our lives & transform the world with a self-less view on everything from money, to material possessions, to how we view our day-t0-day activities.
Family related we are enjoying seeing our kids grow up. Our oldest if 5 now and i can't believe that 5 years ago he was laying on my chest as we watched college football and now we are tackling each other in the backyard. Our youngest is becoming quite the "class clown" so the years to come are going to be amazing! Click here for pics
With football we are past the 1st round of playoffs. If we win this upcoming Friday night we will play for the Central California Division V state title. It has been a great season and the best is hopefully to come.
My wife & I have also started our own business. We are travel agents. We can help you book the most exotic vacation available or just help you get a rental car for the day. The biggest help is we can do it all from home. Our desire is to build a team that we can share this with so if you are interested go to our site and let us know. Or just email us at chasingdaylighttravel@yahoo.com.
Well there it is the update. I am still alive, barely, but needless to say life is OK.
Live your life to the fullest, while making the most of the lives around you!
