Origins Session 3

A couple key thoughts from this last session before lunch...

• We have eating disordered Christians…they need to be taught how to be hungry and feed others. NO MORE SPOON FEEDING!
• Maturity is the gap between understanding and obedience for followers of Christ!
• The culture/ethos of your church is more important than doctrine or policies you have set in place. The Ethos will grow deeper in peoples lives than the doctrine they will memorize and repeat
• What is an Ethos--How it is shaped in your setting
  What you fight over, What you let go of, What you affirm & bless, The stories you tell
• Use the talents you have and let those around you use their talents to the max of their ability so you can raise the level of gift use in the church around you. Don't hesitate creating a standard of excellence.
• Not in leadership, but heresy and immorality need to be active in the apostolic church...the missional life cleans that up by living the faith. The leaders-modeled top down- through serving allows Christ to clean up the unclean
