So tonight it happened...16 students from our student ministry are beginning to move on. 12 of these students have been in my student ministry 3 or more years.
It was great to see all of them in such a cool moment for them.
The greatest part was when CHRIS CHAMPION walked across the stage all 500+ graduate stood in honor. It was a picture of pure love. It was a picture of how powerful the student community really is. It was a picture of how one life can touch many. It was in its moment a very HOLY MOMENT!
See Chris has walked through his senior year with a serious life altering cancer. His faith has been worn on his sleeve during this challenging time. His faith has challenged hundreds of students around him.
When i saw all those students stand in honor i broke into tears. More than just a moving moment it was a reminder that Chris has been an encouragement to me during this tough time. I have been allowed to walk with him and be a part of his life. My only hope is that i have breathed as much life into him as he has breathed into me.
Tonight i witnessed a miracle. Tonight i observed a holy moment. Tonight i saw the living God move in a way that only he could. Tonight i was reminded why i believe in Jesus.
