My Life in A Book

I am a reader. Nothing can argue this and everyone who knows me understands it is an addiction. I read to live. I can go longer without food than i can reading. Reading taps into the unknown parts of my mind, heart & soul to help me grasp life. I don't read "fluffy" books either. My books i love to read are philosophical, theological, psychological & practical. I embrace the words on the page in a conversation within the inner parts of me.

Reading has become a source of spiritual renewal for me. I read to gain perspective on life that i would not have. I read for historial understanding, spiritual renewal, gain insight on personalities and human characteristics. I read for humor and encouragement. I read to be challenged to the point i have to put a book down to grapple with frustrations that have arrised. I read because i feel alive. But i have noticed that i don't remember everything i have ever read. But you can point to any book i have read and i can give you a summary of what impacted me. I have re-read several books because and have gained new insight each time.
Reading can be such a spring board to life when we read and make use of what we read.

I find so often a book i am reading with parallel or help challenge me with what scriptures i am reading at the time as well.

No i don't read just "christian" authors. I actually find that many non follower of Christ authors can encourage me and challenge me just as much as a follower of Christ author can.

Because of this post i just now have decided the following:

I have decided that i will place quotes in the BLOG HEADER of my page with a new quote coming at least once a week if not a few each week.

I will also work on compiling a side bar of favorite books.

By the way if you ever want to send me a gift--Borders Gift Cards would work well!
