Is it ok to make change out of an offering bag???
We are at church selling breakfast burritos for a fundraiser for a summer trip for our high school ministry.
We ran out of 5's & 1's so we ran to bookkeeper & had her make change out of the offering?
So was this ok or not? Just curious about other opinions...

Probably not your number one choice obviously, but not necessarily unethical. I have a feeling our church would frown upon it, but if you had at least a witness or two there, you're probably going to survive.
As far as 'ethics' are concerned, money is money. As long as there is the same amount of money in the bag as there was to start with, I think that's fine. It's not like you were stealing or anything......
